Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG 2015
- Full-bodied and rich, the Sagrantino grape has the most polyphenols of any grape in Italy. That means it's tannic and needs ageing time. This wine is full but the tannins are starting to round out and soften with some age. Great dark fruit, spice and earth notes on the nose, the wine is still juicy while being firm. And the quality and concentration of the fruit and overall balance make it a joy to drink if you like your palate attacked by such elements. Great with wild boar or anything likely to run at you.
