Amantis Sangiovese Montecucco Riserva 2015
- Aged for two years in wood this wine is a strong alternative to Brunello. Grown and produced in the same part of Tuscany, it is concentrated and ripe with toasty wood notes, balsamic, espresso, charred coconut, dark raspberry, cherry and dried red flowers deep down. Generous on the palate, it shows quite full for Sangiovese and lingers with flavours confirming that your nose is in fact working properly. Juicy acidity and fine tannins invite you back for sip after sip. Better get two bottles.
